The Chosen Priesthood And The House Of Jacob

The Chosen: Power, Priesthood, and the House of Jacob

The House of Jacob was not chosen for favoritism. I presume that would be a “shallow” God (Divine One) to do so on that basis. They were chosen for function. In the divine theater of power, where gods and men move pieces across the board of history, selection is not sentimental—it is strategic.

The Divine One of Abram, Isaac, and Jacob did not anoint Jacob’s house because they were morally superior or ethnically distinct, but because they were positioned to carry the greatest burden: priesthood. Priesthood is not privilege. It is governance. And it is law. It is intercession. It is all things the holy technology of managing the invisible and enforcing the righteous order on earth. A priest must deal with both heaven and humanity, carrying fire on his tongue and weight in his hands.

The priesthood is not “lovey-dovey” all the time. At times it is harsh, disciplined, and even tough love. Tough love administered appears wrong, but in reality it is accountability.

The Chosen?

The House of Jacob became the bridge between the Divine and the nations. They were to model law, justice, mercy, and kingdom. Their role was to channel the divine will into human institutions, to confront corruption, and to hold the nations accountable—not with weapons, but with truth structured in authority. And, they would have the backing of the Almighty of Abram, Isaaka (Isaac), and Akobe (Jacob).

To be “chosen,” then, is not to be pampered—it is to be held to a higher standard. It is accepting the highest roles of servitude. It is to be disciplined first, judged harder, and watched more closely (Amos 3:2). The House of Jacob became the prototype of holy power—showing the world what it looks like when the Divine walks among men through a consecrated nation.

The true strategy of the Divine One was not to dominate the world with one people, but to raise one people up so they could teach the world how to walk with the Creator. Yes, the teaching and ministry could be through books and the classroom; but more important would be their ministry through their behavior and character. The earth was to be ruled in righteousness through a chosen priesthood, not in chaos through blind kingship.

The House of Jacob was not chosen to sit—but to serve.

That is the hidden cost of being chosen. That is the essence of power. Thus the God (Divine One) of Abram, Isaac, and Jacob specifically chose a priesthood to facilitate the earth. The question then is, should the Abrahamic religions and the biblical believers and disciples take a keen interest in the House of Akobe (Jacob) today? It just may be the high-powered way to bringing order to this chaotic world.
